To solve the problems of environmental pollution and energy waste caused by the high temperature exhaust gas in the production process of soybean protein powder, proposes a vertical countercurrent spray tower applied to the exhaust waste heat recovery. Establishes an experimental system and analyses the influence of various parameters on the heat recovery performance of the spray tower. The results show that the heat recovery efficiency can be improved by decreasing the spray density and increasing the mass ratio of air to water, meanwhile, the recovered heat increases with the increase of spray density and the inlet temperature of spray water and the decrease of air-water mass ratio. Thus, the factors such as initial investment, heat exchange capacity, heat recovery efficiency and security should be considered during the actual engineering design.
